0.90 2 cycle rules?

The last post I saw with questions about the rules changes allowing 90 2 cycles got off the subject fairly quickly into power discussions. What is the status of the FAI and AMA rules proposals for this? I go by the hobby shop every now and again and weigh the 90's ... 20 oz. gonna take a 10 oz fuel tank ... please tell me the proposals have failed.

well, you aren't forced to use any size, but as far as ±I know, 2c is still up to .60

Just because you CAN use them doesn't mean you HAVE to.

What MIGHT happen is that someone might come up with a "Fox .90 Stunt" - essentially something that doesn't weigh any more than a modern Stunt .60, or put out appreciably more level flight power when run in a 4 cycle, but might be capable of turning larger/flatter props, or turn the same props the same RPM running richer.

I don't know for sure - might ask McClellan. I would have guessed that the need for 90 2-stroke might be pretty debatable, but 20 oz isn't much off what a Saito 72 weighs. Of course you don't need 10 oz of fuel.
