Life is to short to be to serious

In light of the recent apologies that have been on here lately it made me wonder if we have lost focus. I can't help but wonder what it was that made me ask for a seperation between church and control line? I didn't notice anything about Bill Little's disclaimer that I found offensive. I have noticed sometimes that these little statements often tell a little bit about ourselves. What has really opened my eyes to all of us on here is the post as to who we are. I would hope that all of you read it. All of it. We are such a diverse group of people it is not funny. The amount of degrees from college and management positions to owners of companies is staggering. Yet we are all held together by a common fragile bond. Model building. There are people on here that have a way of expressing themselves that seem to irritate others without really meaning to. I know that for myself I used to think that the "Danster" was in particular annoying. That was before he opened my eyes as to what it is he is saying. It is down to earth and direct and to the point. No frills. Thankyou Dan for making me see that and looking up "irony"! I would hope that we can all get along now and get back on track.

If just one more guy claims to have figured me out, I'm going to shift gears on y'all and be nasty. Or irritatingly sweet. Whatever. But it will be intentional and exceedingly annoying!

Might even give that Cunningham dude the thrashing he's been begging for, as even in *his* dreams I get it right. Or possibly I could compliment him for months and for the most inane of reasons. Whatever.

I'll bet if Unsanitary Dan and I were to appear in the same room, a glowing blue plasma would surround us. Too close and we'll surely annihilate each other, transforming to pure energy! Unless, of course, a neutron absorber modulator (dark beer) is injected, then the reaction can be slowed...and harnessed. Nerk, nerk!

We are held by a very stong bond, after all we are human beings, we need love, friendship , approval, so many things.

In fact, the models are just an excuse. People can form all kind of "tribes", using from religion to hobby to create some kind of identity.

Ya know, it reminds me of a Bob Dylan's song:

"All I wanna do
Is be friends with you"

If we can realize this, we stop trying to protect our "tribal colors".

Maybe we are afraid of non-stunt topics because we see them as stuff from some "other tribe"...

I got news, it's one big tribe, and all mankind is part of it!

yes life is to short to be so serious. i thank bob reeves and lloyd gregry for rekindeling the fire i have for cl flying if not i would be working 16 hour days with nothing to look forward too. also id like to thank the people on this thread for helping me with my questions. and putting up with my crude spelling.

My one objection to email communication is that one can not detect the "twinkle" in the eye or the tone of voice. Many times one's personality comes across completely different than it would if it were a face to face meeting.

I occasionally have this problem even with people who know me well and am sure the fact that I am somewhat sarcastic and very much a smart alek (all in fun) has nothing at all to do with it. But at age 60+ that's just the way I am.

I do get upset when the comments get personal and obviously are intended to start / continue a fight. If you guys want to brawl, take it outside and don't involve the rest of us.

This is a great "Family". I've been a member since '56 and wouldn't trade a minute of it. It has definitely kept me alive and sane and I continue to love it all. As with any group there are people we don't want as our next door neighbors but they are few and far between for me and I also realize that those folks may be very special to others. We don't have to like everyone but we can at least be courteous.
