I have been out of touch for a couple of weeks due to some family health problems down in Texas, but I did get a chance to try out the new Crankshaft that Larry Foster is getting fot the Fox 35.
I obtained one of the shafts (in an engine reworked by Larry)and bench ran it several times. The vibration was markedly less when mounted in profile on a test bench. When I had to go to Texas, I carried the engine along and got to meet up with John Ashford, Gary Minor, and Big Don Macperson (sp). We mounted the engine on John's Super Clown (a profile) and flew it. John, Gary, and I all agreed that it was VERY smooth . I think that I have never had a Fox35 that ran smoother. I have two other L & J engines and three with ABC piston/liner assemblies, and they are, while smooth, all more vibrating than this new shaft. The new shaft Fox 35 that we were flying had a steel/iron piston/cylinder assembly.
I am so impressed that I am going to order at least two more.

I can TRUTHFULLY AND WITHOUT ANY RESERVATIONS say that that is one "HOT" engine!! (the Amarillo Fire department will testify to that. but that is another story.
