HOW MUCH POWER A MUFFLER WILL COST ME?

My OS.32 is running a 11 X 4 up to 11,500 rpm.

I've always used an old chair and clamped the stand to it.

It's going so strong that i have to keep a foot om the chair, otherwise it might take off.

I'm going to use now a tonge muffler.

Before I fier ti up, hou much will power the muffler (I'm gonna open a LOT of holes on it) rob from the engine?

If i don't get an answer. Ill come up witnh one soon.

Ion/Iom,

You will lose 218 rpm. Exactly.

If your foot slips off the chair at an inopportune time, you may well lose a lot more than a couple hundred rpm.

It may gain, lose, or stay the same. There's only one way to find out.

Just for a reference, how many revs a .40 (OS FP, LA, etc) can spind an 11 X 4?

I'm gettin some 11,000 , but i intend to run it at 10,000.

Of course, you can't really pick the RPM - it's a function of how fast you want the airplane to go. An 11-4 at 10000 RPM (depending on which 11-4) will likely be to slow.
