Must be something about browsers. Netscape 6 wouldn't upload a pic, but Netscape 4.71 does. Rats, still haven't figured out the best format for an upload pic!

Sorta Spitfire I
Span 60 in. Area 740 Weight 48 oz.
LA 40 with low compression on an 11/4.

Haven't flown it yet, but it should do OK once its trimmed out. Came out about 4 oz. heavy due to using some slightly porky test panels(which I couldn't see throwing away) and not sanding enough on the fuselage.

Way to big!! And then you killed the color definition in order to bring down the disk size. Send me the original by e-mail and I will replace it on the server using the same name only making it smaller and keeping the color definition.

it is a combat plane Derek. Just scaled up a good slow ship and wrapped a Spitfire fuse around it. The wing is actually a direct scale up of the original Gotcha 400 wing from about 1974. That wing(tip is 71% of the root, AR of 5.33, straight quarter chord) is the best wing layout I've ever come up with. The big one uses a NACA 0018 to smooth out the control response.

How do you do that pixelated camouflage? Lots of masking I'll bet. . .

the pixellated camo is easy. Just try and change the size of the pic and it comes out that way. I haven't figured out a way to spray square dots though. for some reason they all come out round.

Reedy told me I couldn't send out any pix until the plane was finished. He wants me to mask and paint the roundels on it, which I may do. I like to think it is a scale "quickie" battlefield repaint somewhere in France late in the war.
