Jetco Shark 45 ribs

Hi,
I started building a Shark 45 some months ago unfortunately the kit was in my house when the house had a bad fire and unbeknown to me the rib wood had dried up so badly that as soon as I touched them they would break.
What I am asking is does anyone have a set of drawings of the ribs for this particular Jetco Shark I never did copy them myself and now it isnt possible, PLEASE can anyone help I would really like to finish building this model.

If you didn't throw the ribs away you can try hitting them with fresh thin CA and keep them together long enough to make patterns.

If you would like I can ship you a whole Jectco Shark 45. I will double check to see if the ribs are ok I believe they are.I have had this in the classifieds for a while an no takers for a trade. So I
will ship you the whole kit if your are interesed. I work in a 12x10 workshop and will not be able to use this plane and it needs a good home. Let me know Walter Hicks.

Pat Johnston lists the Shark 45 in his plans service (Leonard has the same plan). Copied & pasted from Pat's list: "Shark 45- 690 inch, 45-60 engine. Lew McFarland’s classic." Some other plans services list the Jetco version of the Shark 45 at 650 sq. inches. I'd think these (Pat's) would be the same basic plan as the RSM kit, but with more detail and patterns added. Whether it is the Jetco version or the 10% bigger version that Lew McFarland flew with the ST .46, I dunno. Basically, I'd say it's worth asking Pat...and this would give you the option of using the RSM laser cut ribs, if it is indeed the Jetco version. Steve

I have copied off the rib sheet of the Pat Johnston plans for Richard and tomorrow will copy off the rib patters of the MAN plan which are a little different. Between the two he should have patterns to complete his model.
