Ohio Flying

I'll be spending time visiting my wifes family near Akron, actually Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio starting Sept 22 thru Oct 5. Already planning to attend the Columbus Capital City Championship. Recall reading a while back about some activity in Cleveland the week before and was wondering if anyone can provide additional details. Would be great to hit both events while in Ohio. Thanks

Hi Dave,
The Cleveland Area Stunt Championships is Sept. 23 at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds on Bagley Rd. just off I-71.
Sept. 22 is Fun Fly & practice. Start time 10:00am.
PA is the event being flown. Wayne Buran is the CD. For his E-mail or phone number can be found in Stunt News directory.
I'll be staying on the West side of Cleve. Fri, Sat., Sun.. I'll be flying Intermediate. Should be fun.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully I can get in town early enough on Saturday to stop by. If not, will be there Sunday. My son Jesse and I will be flying Beginner. I hope too, that some of the family will come to watch and see what this stunt stuff is all about.

Hi Dave -- just in case you need directions there, I think the best way would be Ohio Turnpike West to I-71 North, then go two exits north to Bagley Road. West on Bagley approximately 3/4 mile, just past Southwest General Hospital. Look to left for fairgrounds entrance. Once inside go up the drive and watch to the left in the open field (near the tall guard tower). Practice flying time should be available until dark on Saturday. Hope to see you Sunday morning.
