My Big, Strong, Handsome Wife and I are headed for Asheville the weekend of 9/22. Any CL guys around there? We'll be glad to pick up the tab for dinner (someplace cheap, like Red Lobster) if you will give us a picture of modeling in that area.

NC is full of flyers. I am in Raleigh and our club is the SKYMASTERS. We do not have a flying site of our own so we use the high school parking lot for stunt and theyre grass circles all over that we use. We have 2 nice sites in NC. One is the Huntersville site which has 2 paved cicles, nice shelter and porto-johns. Also in Winston Salem they have a field with 2 paved cicles also with bathrooms and a nice shelter. We would love to get together and do some flying. Raliegh are we have, Ed Culver-Bill Mitchell-Tom Stetson-Bill Jedlica and little Billy-and myself BAD ANDY aka Andy Patterson. In Winston we have Kent Tysor-Tommy Luper-Larry Draughn-Terry Mcdowell_Wayne Foster-Clayton Smith. In Charolette(Huntersville) you will haveWhatt Moore-Kevin Stewart--Ok probably all of us or most anyway. We do travel around to fly with others here. Hey Larry:

As Andy noted, most of the NC C/L activity is considerably east of Asheville. I am in Greer, SC (about 50 miles south of Asheville) and Stan Powell is in Spartaburg, SC (about 50 miles SE of Asheville). Next closest activity is in the Atlanta, GA area. Would be glad to meet up with you when you are down. If you like pizza, there is a super place in Tryon, NC, which would probably be about halfway between Asheville and Greer.

Just a note to what Andy said:

There is a club meeting in Huntersville this weekend (just north of Charolette) There will be a lot of people there flying for a good portion of the day. If you show up there will be an airplane for you to fly. Just ask for me.

Just wanted to let all know that the SKYMASTERS are going down to Huntersville to fly with the METROLINERS and also attend there club meeting. This will be an all day flying session and the weather is suppose to be beautiful. I hope all can make it and be safe. BAD ANDY

A beautiful,84 degree day for flying patterns and helping new comers. Wanted to let all know that we had a blast going down to fly. Everyones patterns became better as the day and the coaching progressed. We even had Jeanna Mills(Watt Moore's daughter) making inside loops unassisted. And Watts grandaughter (Olivia Mills) all but flew solo for the first time. She is 4 yrs old and keeps her grandpa straight. I wanted to thank the Metroliners for having (putting up with) the SKYMASTERS for what was a true-friendly-fun day of flying. Look forward to the contest in a few weeks. Have a great one all, BAD ANDY
