Help Needed

My quest to understand better the stunt run characteristics of our engines has led me to our flow lab and one of the best flow men around. We have decided that we can simulate charge flow and motion using a technique he devised to do larger charge motion work with. I am not a liberty to discuss the technique, but it has been used and proven over the last 4 years in commercial work done by my employer, Ricardo.

This brings me to my need of help. I've decided first to focus on baffled stunt engines mostly due to the fact that my design will be a baffled engine. We need to establish a baseline for comparison and I've decided that 2 engines should be used for this purpose. The first is the Fox .35. I have one of these that runs beautifully and I will measure it up and duplicate its cylinder/piston features to duplicate in a test model. The second engine I would like to baseline is a Super Tigre .60 and this is where my difficulty is because I don't have one.

So, is there anyone out there that has one and would be willing to let me borrow it long enough to disassemble it and get all the information I need to build the test mockup? It would not be run at all, in fact, it doesn't have to be a runable engine, just one with a known history of good stunt charcteristics.

I could set you up with a ST 46 but don't have any 60's either.

You can't have too many Randys bloody or otherwise. There are even a few here that know what they're talking about, present company excluded! I think you should change you name to Randy too. One of these days we'll all meet at a contest and get a Randy picture for stunt news.

Not a problem- just e-mail me when you're ready for it. If you are attending the VSC I could bring it there. I've never taken the motor apart, matter of fact I never take any motors apart, but it runs just like ST60s are supposed to. I purchased it used from the hobby shop on consignment and flew it at the Nats the last 5 years on the same plane. Best regards,
