WC accomodation

Hi guys,
I am fortunate as to be chosen manager of the Dutch F2 team for the WC next summer, consisting of two F2B fliers and a F2C team. I have to gather information on where to stay and how to move. This will be my first time in the States. From Stunt News I remember that when a lot of you stay in Muncie, you don't stay at the 'official' Ramada hotel, but in a cheap and simpel hotel. Wasn't it called the Economo or something? Could someone mail me some information, address, telephonenumber, maybe even a price-indication? Or would it be fully booked for the WC already? Does anyone have some good hints on where to hire a car to drive from the hotel to the site?

I just recently booked a room at the Super 8 motel in Muncie for $52.00 a night plus tax. Rooms are getting scarce and most places are considerably more expensive. The phone number for this place is 765-286-4333. It is located very close to the Signature Inn which is the place most of the stunt flyers stay.

The Super 8 also has a web site www.super8.com plus a toll free reservation # 1-800-800-8000 but you might have better luck contacting the Muncie place directly.

As for the other things like a car and maps etc. I think you should be able to do all that at the airport when you arrive. Indianapolis airport is about an hour drive from Muncie.

AMA has most of the hotel rooms in Muncie blocked during the WCs.

From the 2004 CLWC's web site, I see your NAC representative, Mr. T. Spinders, has received the official set of information from AMA regarding signing your team up using the online system at the 2004 CL WC's web site. I also notice that NO team information has been entered. Your FIRST order of business is to get him to get the team's data entered.

One of the things he will do when he enters your team's data is to indicate in which of the AMA hotels you want your team to stay. AMA then will allocate rooms for your team. You do NOT have to make your own hotel arrangements, and I am sure you will find it very difficult, if not impossible, to do so.

You really need to visit the website and read the bulletins that are there, the most important and best being Bulletin 2. It gives you all the information you will need to get your team properly into the system and accommodations assigned. And you MUST work with Mr. T. Spinders to get that accomplished.

As for spectators (see Don Hutchinson's note on this thread): your best solution is to become a team supporter: this gets you on AMA's list for hotel assignments, which will be made shortly after April 1. Or become a worker for one of the events and you will get on a similar list and also be in the mill for room allocations.
