#1 sourceI recieved one from Tower on Friday. If it flys half as good as it looks, it should be a gas. I picked it up for my stepson but the weather was awful all weekend. Maybe next week. I hear Ted was flying one a couple of weeks ago, I'd like to here what he has to say about it. Larry, NorCal Circle Jerks.

Had a chance to fly today as it stopped raining. Had some brisk winds at times. Got one tank of fuel ran out before starting the second flight. The thing flys forever on a full tank. Was flying with stock engine, stock prop, had a small problem with slack line that resulted in a crash.
Crowl broken, fuse cracked, fuel tank lost both the vent tube and fill tube, broken firewall, broken motormount and broken intake tube. Will take a couple evenings to repair.
I'll claim "first to wreak a Hyper Viper".
The plane has quick controls but was flying a bit slow. A friend of mine has one he flew Saturday and he reports no such slow speed problem on his plane.

Did you try any maneuvers? What lines were you using? What lines would you recommend?

Running 25% nitro I figured I should have had more power. Kind of reminded me of a Piper Cub! Broke it in Saturday by running the three tanks of fuel through it.
Forgot to mention that the hinges also broke off the elevator, and it seemed to need a bit more wing weight.

Well, Scotch clear tape will make an excellent hinge, once the elevator is well cleaned.
I expect the plastic is Styrene, so the usual plastic model cement or the CA for plastics will work well in repairs.
What do you want to bet that they have again forgotten the recipe for making really tough styrene? Every time they change management, or suppliers it seems they have to develop the stuff again.
(High impact styrene 90%, Kraton 10%)

treat each day as if it were your last, because one day, it will be.
Well, mine should be in the day after tomorrow (Thursday). I'm gonna fly mine on 42' .008's and see how it goes. Probably leave the stock prop on and see what the lap speed are like. I've got some 5" APC's to experiment with if I feel like it. I wonder if there's anyway to shoehorn my MPJet 061 into it? Hmmm.
