Exploite The Hyper Viper

I expect to see local hobby shops and toy stores stocking the new Cox Hyper Viper soon (hopefully). Its high zoot looks are sure to attract more customers than any other Cox RTF jobs. Here is an idea. All of you club flyers (and non club flyers), make up some leaflets about your club and have the store owner place them in the box for you. Inform the buyers of flying sites and other C/L flyers in the area that could offer assistance. Maybe even splurge for a couple of bucks and order some PAMPA flyers to go along with your club info. We have been doing this at Sheldons Hobbies and D&J Hobbies for a couple of years and we've made a number of contacts. It trully is worth the effort. Larry NorCal Circle Jerks

Larry...this is a great idea, but must be kept up with....
I suggest using the orange "shipping label inside" plastic gizzmoes that Staples offers. And I also suggest including a business card with telephoen and e-mail addresses....these often get stuffed into Dad's wallet, and will be hauled out when all else fails.

BTW, as several around here can attest, the BRATCO Skybaby, with a Norvel is a good piece.

Best thing to help is a set of .008 lines and a real handle.

Larry, that's a good idea. I alway seem to forget to bring one of our club flyers when I go down to Sheldon Hobbies. I will try to do that next time.

One of the thing our club just done to promote our club and Control Line modeling, it a display at the Western Aerospace Museum.
Beside show a bunch of old models, we dedicated one case to show current kit like 1/2A Skyray and Skyray 35 and current Cox RTF's.

The control line display uses to be the WAM Trophy Room, which was close. We took out all of the old trophies and add glass cases for engines and models. Phil Granderson donate his Chizer to the museum. Now the room is open for all to see up close. We also have flyer to the Bill Osborne Field just 2 mi. up the street.

While the .008's are a great addition to 1/2A planes, they are kind of fragile to the average father/son duo with little background. But with guidance, a great addition.
