Mixing the color

Anyone know how to make the color "maroon" using Sig dope? Sig no longer sells it.

I would start with red, then add black until the tone is about right. Then use either yellow or blue to bend it in the direction you need to match the paint you have.

Add tiny amounts, it gets really difficult if you go too far! Sneak up on it, and let samples dry to judge the final color. Also, be sure to do the judging in sunlight, not flourescent. At work we have a special light box just for color judgement!

I checked with our painters, and they say that in pigments, a mix of blue into red will give you the best start toward maroon. Pigments work WAY different than light in color mixing. They at least agreed that you start with red...

how much do you need? If you are talking about maroon metallic, I may have some or know of LHS that still has some.

Dang guy, haven't you heard of EBAY!!! You are supposed to find out how much is at the local hobby shop, then post on the Bay that you have the limited edition Maroon, then post the link to the victim/buyer.
