VSC at Tucson

Just wondering for those of you that are going,who has built new Classic Planes. Lets here from all of you.Mine should be done tomorrow.Still have snow on the gound.May not get to fly it before I get there.What`s new Huh!

Tucker Special is finished at last. Unflown. Hope it doesn't do like last year's Oriental- destroyed on second flight! Got in too big a hurry on that one.

So far, I mostly do OTS. Smoothie is finished and flown 12 times (last fall), working on a Walter Umland All-American Sr. Alas, no chance for me to get to Tucson anytime soon...

Well folks, since I posted the first time it has managed to snow two more inches. I`hate all this white stuff.

Well, I plan on going, and have finished a new classic plane since last year, and plan on bringing it. However, I flew it all last summer and in several contests.

It's a Sig Chipmunk.

Hi Gordy. I have a new, untested DeMeco Continental from the kit, (copied). It has an OS .25FP up front. Also two new just finished Barnstormers. My Ares is too beat up to take, but I might anyway.

Good to here from you.Hope to see you at Tucson. I just finished the Heinz-57 tonight. Weighs 38.6oz.Still have to make up lines. Snowed again today. And a big one coming in tomorrow. Looks like I`ll have to make up lines when I get there.And test fly and trim. I hate doing that. Might have to bring the Colossus with me just in case.

Sigh... My USA-1 is still in pieces. But I hope to start putting them together real soon now.

The snow should be no problem.

Idea, remove the wheels from your wheelpants, install some skies and go flying. Should be a great takeoff with the snow blowing in the wake and a greaser landing. Another aside, if you must ditch the plane in an emergency a snowdrift could save your hide.
