Where is Ted Fancher?? I hope he wasn't on one of those airplanes!!

Ted should be OK he flys a 747 mostly to the orient. What I am concerned about is Dave Fitzgerald, he flys a 767 which is one of the types of planes hijacked? I understand a United plane had crashed in Pennsylvania, but not sure if it was a 767 or other type. One United plane was reported to have made an emergency landing in Clevland.

Don't we all imagine that airlines and airports will all have to make truly massive changes that will affect anyone using air for travel or working in air transport. Instead of "arrive an hour before your flight," it will have to include time for full body searches, and will it be US Military in charge of it?

Will it be US Military running the metal detectors at the airport? After my flight to Boston & back in May, I should hope so. My 25 year old son came back from a vacation in Boston last Friday on American Airline. Whew! I am quite proud that our police don't carry submachine guns on the street like a lot of countries, but maybe we need some at airports. The people I have seen running the metal detectors aren't much of a comfort. It'll be awhile before I get on an airliner. Steve

Yea, I thought about some pilots I know (apart from Ted and Dave). I suspect that civil aviation will be forever changed. Should be a great time to apply for a job as an Air Marshall.
