What a great phone call!

When I decided to come back into CL, there were just a few things that disappointed me: Of our four hobby shops, only one even knows what you mean by CL. Ambroid glue doesn't taste as good as it did years ago, when you bite off your fingers. We have no CL circles here at all, and the local RC club has been anything but cooperative. It seemed like I was the only person in town wanting to fly CL.

Out of the blue, I got a call tonight from a guy here in town who has decided to make his CL comeback, he has got to know another fella in the same situation, AND they have permission to fly at a very large schoolyard. He saw my name and number in the PAMPA roster, but had been putting off calling for a week because he didn't know if he should bother me. Bother me, huh? I told him "NO BOTHER, you just made my day and week, probably several months…you may have made my entire year."

Isn't it great that, no matter what the problems or successes, it's nice to have some others of like experience in it with you, just to share the feelings. I'm feeling awfully good about it all tonight, and I just couldn't help but talk about it a little. Thanks for putting up with me.
