I would like your input on the decision of how many threads (topics) to display on the current board before archiving the older threads. The longer the list of topics currently displayed, the easier it is to scroll down and to respond to even some of the older ones. However, for some people it takes longer to load and may slow things down. This board has automatic archiving, which means that it will prune itself and archive the older threads which can still be accessed by clicking on 2, 3, 4, whatever the number of archived boards exists. There is also a search feature where you are able to search for a certan topic or person and go directly to those postings in the archives. Anyway, I started this board with a limit of 30 threads in the current board before archiving the older ones. I then expanded the number and expanded it again to its current 60.
What do you think? How many threads should be displayed before the older threads are archived. What works best for you?
