Is Isky's server offline at 7:45 pm Sunday?

This morning Bigwig seemed very slow and hesitant. Didn't finish downloading the index for several minutes, and just generally was running in slow motion (I've corrected an odd misspelling I made when I'd written "downloaFing," but I almost left that one in because it was so true).

I'm never certain that my own experience with this or that web site is exactly the same as everyone else's. I wonder if my feeling of uncertainty in that regard is typical or not?

When I got on and had already viewed several posts I got an "connection with the server could not be made" message when trying to view the next posting. Checked on some other sites and when I returned it was working fine.

.. and whatever had been causing the extreme slowdown in the morning had also been corrected. I'm assuming there was some human intervention at some point!

Since 7:30 am today, I get a stall from Netscape for several minutes until I tell it to quit attempting contact Bigwig. I suppose I'd eventually get some kind of error message about that URL not answering if I waited long enough!
