Spinner brand?

Does anyone recognise the brand of this spinner or can suggest a similar current brand?

I like the full curved shape. The Dubro ones seem too pointy to me and I have seen some others that have straights instead of this nice continuous curve.

I bought this in the early 70s and the spinner front is fitted with 2 screws that hold it to the spinner hub from behind. The heads of these screws fit into slots in the spinner hub so all you do is push the front on then twist slightly like a bayonet light globe. There is no back plate, the spinner hub just bolts on in front of the prop.

It is not essential that I get the same type of fitting though this disciption may melp identify the brand. The shape is more important to me to suit the style of the plane. The spinner is fairly blunt, large nose radius and sweeps back in a smooth curve.

I have a couple like it, but I can't recall the brand of these, either.

I have a black one just like this that I bought in the same time frame, have no idea what brand it is/was either- although it may be Williams Bros (and on further thinking that may well be who made them). They did at one time make spinners too.
I think they were called "parabolic shape" in the old mag ads.

There is a disadvantage to not being able to see it, but it sounds like a Goldberg spinner. They looked to be a good idea until an electric starter sent 'em zinging off to poke random holes in your pit partner's model.

Just happen to have an orange 1 3/4 still in the package. Have no idea how I ended up with it, orange is not one of my primary colors.

Anyway it is a Williams Bros. Mark II Spinner #116, sold for $1.25 whenever it was purchased...

a nice parabolic spinner, or make one.

Strange thing is, when I posted this, I could not find it on the forum but then listed my subscribed to topics and there it was, complete with the images. I then E-mailed Leonard and found the topic in the forum, minus the images.

I guess I'll eventually get used to how all this works but It's a mystery right now.

Interesting, because this AM, the photos WERE here, that's what jogged my memory about where I had seen one like this before.
Williams Bros at one time made wheelpants too, and offered plans (I'll have to check the old ads to be sure) for "La Jollita", an (R/C) Formula One racer. That (full-size) airplane is what they took the spinner shape from.

Hey! That was to be my second choice. Honest. No, really.

If this one wasn't in the package I would have had no idea who made/sold it. I remember using them on sport models but that's about it.

Might just use this orange thing on my next ARF Nobler, ya that's it, pick up a roll of orange Monokote, do a little trim work in orange and create the ugliest Nobler on the planet. Wished it was white or even yellow..

Wonder how many ARF Noblers are at VSC...

I saw three ARF Noblers, but none entered into competition. They were used only for practice flying from what I saw. But then there is sooo much to see, so maybe, but maybe not. That is a real silly answer that didn't answer anything except, yes, there were some there, on the ground, off by themselves. I don't know what they were talking about.

Hey Ken,

If your looking for that type of spinner, I believe the "Hobby Lobby" people carry something very similar to this.
I bought a few a couple of years ago because I needed to get some weight out of the nose of a ship. I bought them in sizes from 1 3/4 to 2 1/4.
Take a look at their sire, I bet they still carry them.
