RO-JETT .40 & .51#0 source

Has anybody logged time on the ro-jett .40 & .51 stunt engines? I have a new in box arf nobler that needs an engine. I'm very, very tempted to buy one ro-jett replacing the antique super tigres I normally recycle and run on my new kits. Any info would be helpful before I take the leap. Thanks, William

What is your future idea for the engine? I would hope it would outlast several airframes (even if you have to overhaul it). That said, I would think the light case 40 would be better suited for the ARF Nobler. You certainly don't need that exotic of an engine for that (not so exotic) airplane, but it would certainly work. A Brodak 40 or similar engine would work well, also.

Mine has a Larry Foster Fox 35 and has more than enough power. Balance came out just about spot on with the light engine. Since the Brodak 40 is about the same weight, I agree with Leonard about it being a great selection. Unless you want the "high tech" engine for some future project, the light engines are a better fit.

Good info thanks! I might buy the .51 for my case collection and wait for a future ship that would be a good match for. In the meantime, I'm taking advise and powering with one of Leonards worked engines.

Thanks Leonard, I needed that info. I simply fell in love at the Ro-Jett website! Like the first Ford Cobra I saw up close. What brand and size engine from your shop would you recommend for an arf Nobler?

I have several hundred flights on my ROJett Bar Stock 40 RE now in the SV40. I flew a nobler as a kid with a fox 35. The other comments I would agree with..Its way lotta mota for a nobler.

I have also flown quite a lot with a stock fp 25 per the Brett Buck setup. I would put that or the fp20 in the Nobler in a heartbeat.

The ROJetts a great performing package tho...I really like mine alot. Am putting a second one in a larger classic ship.

Having seen a PA 40 muffled fly at Huntersville, I would voice the same opinion for it as a powerplant for a nobler.
