VSC 16

Here are some pictures from Tuesday. There were 35+ flyers at the field today. Trying to figure out a new digital camera so the pictures should get better as the week progresses. Also shown is Mike Ostella's Pow Wow, nick named the Swiss Army Knife, Rene Berger loves it. Weather was in the high 80's today. The First picture is Bob Palmer and John Calintine with John's Smoothie, sorry but it's the best I could do, to get it small enough.

GROOOAAANN!!! From my desk I can see light snow falling, that's painfull too. One of these years I'm going to make it to VSC.

How about next year? I am trying to get a few of us rounded up for the trip. Not sure if flying or driving is the way to go.

I heard that a dust devel picked up a couple of airplanes from the pitts and one belonging to someone from Tulsa was completly destroyed. Do you know what airplane and whos it was?

Thanks for keeping us up to date. The are pictures are great. But please get some help from someone who is at VSC who sends pictures. The width should be a max of 640 pixels. The pictures will have much better definition at a smaller size, and will fit the page. I am sure that someone will be very happy to assist you.

and.. please keep the pictures coming.

Don't listen to Dan he's just jealous that you'r there and he's not. Keep the pictures comming please! There is definitely a learning curve to getting them just right. I had the same problem if you remember those I posted in Dec/Jan. Keep up the good work!

Jim, thanks but taking pictures is just not something I like doing. Dan's just ribbing me, lets me know he still cares.

Some other pictures from another new user of digital camera.
The Barnstormer is Allen Brickhaus's, the Tucker is Ted's. Yes there are 2 Stars this year. The new one is 20 oz lighter than last years version and flys pretty well. Weather forcast is for near 90 with sun and light winds.

I missed going to VSC this year because of work obligations and am "teary" over the pictures posted. My good friend Dan Gates will be there. He introduced me to CL. Maybe next year. Package to you in Mail Friday. Wish I were there, William

It was Joe Gilbert's Fox 59 powered Go Devil. It was an old Rusty Brown ship that had been crashed at VSC some years ago that Joe acquired from De Hill and rebuilt.
It should have been a goner but Joe put all of the pieces he could find back together. He borrowed a Viking from fellow Gluedobber Jerry Neafus to fly in Old Time.
