I have had this kit lurking in my cabinet now for going on close to 20 years. Is it worth making a replica of? I deffinately will not build the kit. This is not the same Consolidated that made the Manx Cat or Twin Terror is it?

I have no claim to fame, I build more planes than I fly, collect more kits than I build. That about says it, right?

Yes, that's the same Consolidated firm. I've had two Guided Stars...one around 1954 (Fox 29) and the other circa 2002. The latest had an OS 25 and was a super flyer in OTS until I stuffed it into the Tucson blacktop one fine day. If built light, these are very fine flyers.

Uncle Mikey, I thought perhaps that they were made by 2 different outfits as the boxes look nowhere alike. The box mine is in has a green lable on it. All my other Consolidated kits are yellow. Must be a older production?

Back when I collected old kits, I had two Berkeley Mustangs that came out of the same hobby shop in California in the late '40s at the same time. The same guy had bought them both and kept them for years until I got them, There were differences in not only the boxes (colors, labels, etc.) but some of the kit parts such as the wheels were different too- yet they were made within a few weeks or months of each other- no question of it.
