Hello everyone!,

Just got done with a bit of repair on an All American Senior fuselage.

Got this sweet old girl at our recent club auction.

I'm interested in how long others allow rustoleum final coats to cure.

Got sunrise red sprayed on. It's been a couple of years since I sprayed my ukeys........brain fade!... I forgot how long they sat before it was safe for Hot Fuel and Nitro Fumes!

I'd wait a least 24 hours. You can probably handle it after about 2-3 hours.

I usually wait 3 days before 10% and 5 for 25% I do't know what hte upper range is for nitro. I did paint and go fly 3 days after on one airplane and some raw 25% got on it and made a spot. The next week the same thing happened with no problems.

24 hours before extensive handling or you may leave fingerprints-it will still feel a little sticky perhaps even then.
Wait 3 days, well at least 2 if good drying conditions before putting on any trim colors. If you fail to wait long enough, the paint will curdle(don't ask how I know this).
Rustoleum and minwax polyurethane go on over Rustoleum assuming it's nice and dry. Rustoleum goes on over Lusterkote paint. Lusterkote does not go over Rustoeum.
