Out flying for the first time in 32 years today

This morning came with +5 degrees Celsius ,light overcast and dead calm.
So i made my ARF Flite Streak ready with a stock OS .25 LA , and a 4 OZ plastic tank mounted on the inside with uniflow setup and muffler pressure. 60 feet lines and Tom Morris handle.
As there are no other C/L flyers in the area where i live, i brough my wife with me as ground crew. She has until today never seen a C/L plane fly. The grass field was a bit rough, so we had to hand launch.
To my great joy, everything worked out ok. That is: No crashes and plane came back in one piece.
It showed up to have a slightly warped wing. Tip down in normal and up in inverted flights. (Also a little bit nose heavy , but i will stay with that until i get some more training.)

Started off with an 8x5 prop. Engine run was very consistent. With the muffler pressure i did not get a 4-2-4 break. Same speed all trough the flight. First flights were a bit fast, so i decided to try another prop. I thought i brought with me a 9x4, but it was a 10x4. Engine ran steady but tended so slow down once airborne. Seems like 10x4 is a bit too much for the .25 LA. I will try a 9x4 next time.
Did about 10 flights , just trying some normal and inverted loops, horizontal eights and inverted flying to get the feeling back.
Got a bit dizzy on the first 2 flights , but after that everything was ok.I have just dewarped the wing , so i am looking forward to the next flights.

I hope to be airbourne soon after a seven year layoff. I never got very good, only managed the beginner pattern twice or three times. Mangled several planes, but that's how you learn I suppose.

I'm almost finished resurrecting my battered and worn Ringmaster as my trainer. I don't have the guts to fly my "nice" plane until I get my sea-legs back.

Same here...I have a nice OS .46 powered profile Cardinal ready plus another plane for the .25

My "nice" ship is a "George Aldrich Special", essentially a profile Nobler with an OS .35 FP running muffler pressure. Foam core wings.

I also have an Orientel (full body) that I hope to start building soon. I have a Silver Fox .40 looking for a home
