Nobody seems to have gone for it, but the idea seems to have some merit beyond shock value, that alone being good enough in my estimation.
Those ARF Flite Streaks are mostly hollow up front, no real problem in cutting a hole, adding surrounding reinforcement of 1/32" ply.
Plumbing would seem to be greatly eased if most of it--the all-important clunk and flopper uni-flo vent--went to right end of tank, stopper and external lines to left end where they would snake under fuselage to both NVA and pressure tap on muffler.
Adjustment of run might be an issue, but it could probably be solved by fiddling with vertical location of uni-flo dump.
Or is there too much uphill running to this idea?
Man, it would really freak the folk. But only if it worked.
Incidentally, had a guy my age, flying with kids and a couple Cox PT-19s on an adjacent circle come by last weekend. He liked the ARF Flite Streaks quite a lot. Except, of course, they weren't full-size Flite Streaks.
The ones he remembers are quite a bit larger. I ridiculed him, of course, asking how old he was when first seeing a Flite Streak and if things in the world still seem to be bigger than life.
We parted friends, but it sure was an interesting discussion. He didn't believe me when I told him the trout I caught as a lad is today remembered as being just larger than a medium salmon, despite photographic records which seem to contradict my recollections.
