Just moved to Orlando, need to know where the flying sites are.

The X47 Flyers have a site at the Flagler County Airport. This is about 20 miles north of Daytona and about an hour drive from downtown O-town. Give me a phone call at 386 445-2238 or email me at [email protected] if you want more particulars.

Bob and Robert,

I live on the south side near the airport, have a buddy and a 10yr old son flying at the beginner level. Maybe we can hok up one weekend at a central location, if we can't fly that day we can at least do the meet-n-greet and share info.

The 3 local hobby shops I frequent are
Colonial Photo and Hobby - Mills and SR 50 ( Colonial ) downtown
Graves R/C - Just past the John Young /Orange Blossom Trail Intersection on OBT
Bob's Hobby Center - Goldenrod and the 408 expressway

Mostly R/C ( as usual) but all 3 have lines, handles, a few kits, Graves has the TF Nobler and FS in stock.

All of you O-town CLer's:

The X47 Flyers would be glad to have any and all of you come up and fly with us sometime. We have three paved cirlces and usually fly on Sunday mornings. Get in touch with me (see previous post)if you would like to come visit. All we and the Airport Manager require is current AMA and no alcohol allowed on the property.

There is another hobby shop on Kirkman and SR 50 (Colonial). Very nice people and a nice place place to buy fuel tubing, CA and Epoxy.

The Flagler County Airport is an excellent place to fly, it was used for a few years as a site for the KOI. worth the trip, but it is still a 90 minute drive from Orlando.

Maybe Robert can send me that contact info too, it seems that Bill Rich and I just lost our flying site in Tampa and are looking for a new place to practice. I would of course welcome something in the Orlando area.
