Does anyone know of C/L or R/C activity in the Savannah or Hilton Head Island area? I'm REALLY tired of doing pushups at Parris Island and now I'm looking for some easier stuff. LOL.........

I believe the USMC Air Station is still there? Seems like the morale and recreational troops over there might have a better idea... I have relatives on Lady's Island, St Helena's and in Beaufort. We get down there occasionally.

I know there are sharks in the water at Tybee Island. My uncle lives there. He makes about $50.00 ever day catching a shark on the public beach and selling it to a local restaurant. He can usually catch one within 20 minutes. I don't swim there anymore. Thats good tax free spending money for retired folks.

There is (or, at least, there was) an R/C club in the Savannah area. I have been to fly-ins that they put on at an old Army helicopter training field on the west side of I-95 near Spooler. Can't recall the name of the club since I haven't flown RC in a number of years. You could check the club listings on the AMA site. Personally, I have never heard of any C/L activity in the Savannah area.
