Building on glass???

How do you accurately mark lines (center lines and such) on the glass when building on a glass surface?

A "Sharpie" brand marker and a good straightedge.

I use to use a "Vis A Vis" overhead projector pen (water wash off), but now I just use a fine point Sharpie permanent markers. A scraping with the razor blade and a little solvent completely removes the lines.

Oh. I read the title of your topic and expected an amusing story from a Japanese hippie. Never mind.

I usually use a glue stick or tape and attach cutouts from the plans to the glass.

I use Bill's glass and his pen!

To steal a line from Chrysler's "Hemi under glass", how about "plans under glass", that's what I do sometimes. Depending on what you are doing, it can work well. I suppose one downfall is that really thick glass could defract a bit though...
