Why isn't Brodak one of the sponsors?

This is a good idea.....but I wouldn't let the lack of support from Brodak (or Sig, or any other cl specialist) be an indication that the efforts of the troops are not appreciated....my guess is that Hobbytown simply shook down their supplier list for donations.
I know that John has a son that was called up to serve.....

No mention of control line anything in the Wish List..

Look at the request from the DOD there is nothing mentioned about any kind of airplane. The statement is made that there is limited space for recreational use. Guess they aren't aware of control line aircraft and the fact they only need a space less than 200 ft square.

Think I will contact the person listed as the contact by the DOD and clarify the situation regarding planes.

Received a communication from Col. Robin Byrom who sent the request out.

No RC aircraft, rockets, or kites are allowed.

Asked him about FF or CL aircraft. Will let you know if I get any favorable feed-back

Just to finish up on this topic.

Received a reply from the gentleman in charge of the program. He is aware of our aspect of the hobby as his family has owned a hobby shop for about 30 years. They are limited to electric power and are close to an operating airport so don't want any possible problems from model aircraft and the full size ones.

If you have anything you can contribute such as RC cars, boats, electric trains or the other items mentioned in the original listing I encourage you to support the troops.
