I have been looking at the Brodak Flying Clown dimensions and note that the wingspan shows to be 26 3/4 inches. Is this a typo --- is it actually 36 3/4 inches?

The Flying Clown

is a small airplane - about the size of the Sig Acrobat and takes a .15 size engine.

My FC spans approx 27".

The Super Clown is a .35 sized model.

I don't know about the Brodak version, but the original PDQ Flying Clown spanned 28 inches. The SUPER Clown's span was 38 inches.

My favorite PDQ small ship was the Circus Prince. Same wing and all as the Flying Clown, but a different fuselage shape. Brodak also does it. I still have mine from 1964! Got one from John, and am redoing my old one so that they will be a matched pair. Old Fox 15's in both.

EDIT: I actually flew my old one the last time with a 36X on Missle Mist and a 9-8 prop. Sure am glad that it only had a 2 oz. tank!

I actually like the Flying Clown a little better than the Circus Prince. I think I will build one, with Fox .15 power.
