I got a Goldberg 'Zing' speed CL kit from the GMA auction. The kit plans to not specify the dihedral angle of the wing set-up, but on the box it looks to be "not" just straight across for both wings. Also, the engine specs choices are ignition types from .19 to .49 naming brands that I've never heard of e.g., Vivelle .49, Madewell .49, Bullet, Bantam, Tiger Aero, Cannon, Phantom P30, Wensen and so on.

The only engines I have in this range, are a pair of brand new ignitions: O&R .23 and the O&R .33 Redhead. Has anyone built this kit? What engine choice would you use, the .23 or the .33 redhead? It looks to be a "real fun" flyer and has formed balsa fuse. 24" wingspan, 22" length. Excellent wood. A pix of Goldberg on box who looks about 19 years old!

If those are your motor choices, I'd put the .33 in it. You have to carry the weight of the ignition setup and battery as well. The O&Rs aren't long on power, and the .23 is marginal although it will fly ok if kept light. I haven't seen this particular design although I was aware it existed. The dihedral on the kit box art may be a simple error on the artist's part. A lot of these old designs of that era used it, some didn't. If it doesn't show or specify on the plans, I'd ignore it.
