Does any body have a set of plans to the "Miss Poppy" designed (I think )by Rich Leroy and flown to victory in Junior at the nats in 1977-78 I dont know which.(it was the one at riverside March afb.)
It was kitted for a while by Ed Jacoby (Eds garage) and the kit was foam core and skined in some kind of card stock.. The original I think was built up..The nats winner was foam winged tiger 46 powered..

Hi Emil. I recently received a kit of the Miss Poppy (which according to the "rah rah" on the label, was a top 15 at the 74, 75, and 76 nats). The 77 Nats was at March Air Force Base. The kit is not too bad, but if the wood and plastic provided is used it will come out heavy. Bob Hunt did the foam wings for the kit and if I went to him for foam wings for this plane I would have him triple core them as the kit wings are only double cored. The plans might be difficult to build from unless you have a foam wing, but if you want a set, I can copy mine and send them to you plus a copy of the instruction booklet. I have traced the tip plates onto the plans so they can be used for tip outline. The root rib is on the plans.

SQ.8's or our local muffler man (Scott Dinger) is flying one of these and it performs quite good. His has a ST 46 in it.
