I realize I may be selfish but in this forum I seek help, discussion, etc. I am completely put off by reading offers to buy, trade or sell here when our host has very generously given us a place to advertise. Now some may think I am completely out of line for bringing this up but like they say, opinions are like anal orifices, everyone has one.

You are right: I just realized that the O&R ad above, was on "this side of the fence". I just asked if Leonard if he could move the question ad to the other side. I'm not sure if the fellow had the right side, when he placed. But, if you are referring to the placement of "clearing the air" which was in reference to selling, it was intentionally placed on this side, because of the nature of the topic affected the whole, not just supplying stuff at no profit. I occasionally have to move a topic when I see that it is placed in the wrong section, so this wasn't the first. And I appreciate it if someone notifies me of same. Occasionally the original poster will discover his error right after posting (too late for him, but I can still move it) and then he lets me know.

However, while we are talking protocol, and this might be a good place to say it again, when you post an ad in the classifieds, please post a price. Don't just post it as "for sale, I am thinking of a number, guess." Post the price you want for it, or "This price or best offer" or "This price or trade for..." or even "trade for..." (that's setting a price, isn't it?) Also, do not post an ad that you have listed something somewhere else (especially on e-bay, because then it is not available here.) Simple rules and easy to follow.
