As part of our "program" for the Dallas June contest, we have sent out requests to various suppliers of our hobby for a donation of some sort to be raffled off as a fund raiser for the flying fields. The results have been most gratifying. Of interest was the "G-Line TigerShark" kit sent by the Stanzel company. I glanced at the box and was amazed at how they had replicated the old box. Then looked inside and noticed the kit came with two bottles of dope and glue! The substance inside the bottles was solid- like rock- this kit is original- the Real Deal! Over sixty years old! Three inch wooden wheels! So I called Mr. Ted Stanzel in Schulenberg, Texas to thank him whereupon he pointed out they have found quite a few of the old kits and he would like to get them sold.
