prayers for the Brodaks

Guys please add the Brodaks in your prayers because John’s brother passed away last night.

Those of us who are beyond middle age have experienced deaths of close friends and family. I am certainly one of those, being the last survivor of a family of 5.

I express my sympthies to the Brodak family. However, a death must be accepted as a part of the life process.

"For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's "

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall be anymore pain; for the former things are passed away."

John, I have not yet experienced the loss of any of my parents or my brothers according to the flesh.

If I said I know how you feel I'd be lying.

I don't.

But, I beg you, keep in mind that our God is greater than any pain we feel, and He loves your brother a LOT more than you would be able to love any human being.

And He loves you in the same way.

I live by the faith on the day when we shall be together with Him. For all eternity.

If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, my preaching is useless and so is my faith. More than that, I am then found to be false witness about God, for I have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, my faith is futile; I am still in my sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life I have hope in Christ, I am to be pitied more than all men.
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

I can understand quite well. My condolences to John and his kin.
I lost a friend just a few years older than me last month. He was a USAF 'Nam vet; a black M.D. who did a lot of great work with poor children in underprivlidged famlies thru local churches. At one point he and his associates were seeing a thousand patients a week. His name was Richard Allen Mosby, M.D.- a tough dude to replace.

You probably should include the references, or folks will think these are your words, not God's (Romans 14:8; Revelation 21:4; I Corinthians 15:13-26). All very apropos passages.
