KK Stunt Queen

I've just got a copy of the plan for this attractive OTS model from Phil Hansson.

It's 40+ inches span and 273 squares.

It shows a Frog 500 and Yulon 29 on the plan.

It also says the weight is 10 (yes 10) ounces.

I hope that this is the bare frame weight (no engine) even so that seems VERY light!

Well, there are no flaps on this. The weight is probably the bare plane, less engine and maybe even tank and wheels. I have the plans here so can see the structure, but, no, I haven't built it.

Jim Lee has flown one at VSC several times. It flies very well. (Jim Lee can also fly very well.) You might check out the PAMPA and magazine coverage of the last several VSC events for a picture of his yellow and red Stunt Queen.

I think someone over in Europe makes a kit for this plane, or did!

Check the Peter Chinn article on my site. Brians original (1951 Gold Trophy winner) weighed 20.5 ounces with a Yulon. I can supply Brian's 'phone number if you want more (genuine) info.
Maybe I should mention that Brian (Hewitt) is 82.
