I asked this question in a related post, but I am asking again. What is the Flying Clown designed for, is it a racer, or simply a sport ship? I assumed it was a sporter, but since we have clown racing, and it has such a short wingspan for it's size, maybe it is a racer.
It is OTS legal, and flies very well. I have one with a 15LA and it is a ball to fly! It's a good stunt ship and they use it for racing. Would make a good trainer also!

The Flying Clown was originally a PDQ kit designed by Matt Kania (IIRC) around 1950 or so. (OTS legal)
It was touted in the ads as a Stunt/Combat plane.
It became popular as a 19 class "entry level" racing event several years ago.
So it was "designed" as a Stunt/Combat ship.
