Nobler

Hello. I am putting together an ARF Nobler. I have a Brodak .40, OS LA .40 & .46. Which motor? Also, what tank? I want to fly competitions, and this model will be my first venture into the contest scene for aerobatics. I have flown a fair amount of racing and combat events. Any help will be appreciated. I have already changed out the leadouts, and pushrods. Anything else? Any help appreciated.

I think the Brodak 40 would be my choice good power and light weight, mount where cowling will fit strengthen engine bears and have fun. Should balance on the money and fly great.

Yep, Brodak 40.. Mount it close to the firewall and use a 1/2 inch Fox shaft extension, will balance perfect with the stock muffler and the cowl will fit corectly. I have flown mine in 25+ MPH winds and had no problem with power.

Brodak 40 and a Sullivan 4 oz. tank plumbed for uniflow.

Go with the Brodak 40. It is a great match. I also added the tongue muffler (instead of the stock muffler), and my balance comes out just fine.

I needed to add a little nose weight with a tongue muffler but that may just be my preference for turn rate.

Other than making sure I don't have it overly tail heavy I hardly ever check the CG on a new ship. Just fly it and adjust for the groove and turn that suites me.
