Rossi .61 RISE Carrier engine intake disc

I am looking for a nylon royary intake disc for this engine. I guess it is older 70s mill. I have not recieved any response elseware. Hopefully somebody out in cyberspace may have one. Maybe a contact of site that may have rarts for this engine? Any input will be most helpful. Thank you,Dan.

I have the same engine, new, in the box. I have no extra parts for this engine. Can you tell me if an engine like this is worth using because it seems pretty heavy. Mine is R/C version but would only need a ventury and NVA to convert. I will keep watching the postings for any comments on this engine and for spare parts.

Two answers: first, the rotary is frequently, if not similar to the OPS, ST, and other RISE engines. I sent a private message to Dankar asking for the deminsions which I can check with my rotary disk stores, sometimes one can be machined to fit, and sometimes the timing is identical as one Rossi and old ST were. The older STs had (sometimes) a rear cover that had a (pegged) false back that (can) be (repegged) to adjust the timing. I have some of those. All are the Updraft versions, but will work with CL or RC.

Second question, on the beast eBay, ANY new ROSSI will fetch a minimum of 300 to high of 500 Bucks, a sandcast, even more. I watch the sales frquently and can never afford one, but build from new parts I find around through a contact in Italy. Heavy, yes, as Dirty Dan told me a while back, "...sell it, throw it away, get rid of it!" they are no good for CL Stunt!

Rossi and ST of that era were very creative and engines changes from one production run to another. So parts need to be made to suite the particular example.

I have two of these engines, one a speed model and one a marine.

The cylinder timing is different on the two engines. The timing disks are also different.

Find a good modelling machinist to copy/make a suitable disk.

They are a beauitiful engine to run. Very docile to start on 12/6 by hand.
