Thank you Don McClave and Paul Walker for helping make this a success.
PAUL and DON are both Professionals. We had a turn out of 32 people. NINE were beginners looking to do their first contest. And eight experts BONED up also. Glad to see Floyd Carter, Gary Nelson. A super day with super friends. THANKS TO ALL.

Scott, WOW! What a great time I had! I met with some great new guys and was wowed at the skill of the beginners. Next year while I will still be flying beginner these guys will be at the next stage, if not sooner. I learned a great deal from the seminar and wish to once again say thank you for all the effort you went to in promoting this event.

Scott, it was a great event; we all had fun and learned a lot. Thanks to you, Don McClave and Paul Walker for the education.
Also, thanks to Bruce Hunt for helping me with some fine-tuning of the trim of my Lite Wave during the fun-fly portion.
Now, if only there hadn't been all that cheating with the poker hands ...

So what was so wrong with me buying two decks of cards and keeping them in my flight box? OK, so having 7 aces within my winning hand was a bit unusual, but only cause Scott only issued me 6 cards.

Scott, you forget, Mel is the oldest, Floyd is next, and I am the younger of the three. I just (no pun intended) look older. Must be the slings and arrows of having been a SIG president that did it.

Scott,

You had 30-plus people show up? For a *clinic*?

Not only that, 9 were beginners, 8 of the Expert persuasion?

Hmmmm. It wasn't that long ago we had fewer of either group at contests deemed to have been a success.

Sorry I missed it. My flying is still below that seen at end of last season, not a good sign. But my vegetable garden is in terrific shape!

Yes the best event I have been to. I am new (rookie) and made the NW Regionals last year. But I was just starting into this sport of flying and could not fly in this event as I had no help in this till I found the Stuka Stunt Forum and Jerry Eichten offerd to come over to fly. Then he told me about the Fall Fallies event in Salem OR. I then started posting questions left and right on this forum and was in need of help with a venturi, that's how I met Scott Riese. He also has been able and willing to give me help in building and flying. What the clinic held by Don and Paul gave me a whole turn around with the scoring of judging the PA pattern. Meeting more and more flyers has been a great thrill for me. I want to thank you again Scott for your putting this clinic together.

Being new to the NW area, the stunt judging clinic in Portland was my first time to meet Don, Paul, Scott and many others. A great bunch of C/L flyers, and my faith in modeling has been renewed.
