Have any of you ever run one of the OS Wankle engines? What was your impression? The've been around for quite a while and are not well known. So I guess they are not "world beaters" but they sure would look neat in a round cowl... They are also "pricey" and not terribly light at 11.5oz.

I bought the OS Wankel when they first came out. I forgot the price, but it was about $60. Now they are many times that!
The Wankel is cute, and it got lots of questions at the flying field. However, from a thrust/weight/price comparison, even the low-cost 2-strokes will do better.
