Blue Foam - Closed Cell - Whare Can I Buy??

I live in the San Jose, CA area. I want to buy 3" thick
blue foam for molding 1/16" balsa to make fuse parts.
Please give me a location to purcahse this material!!

Don't know about this stuff in the San Jose area specifically, but you can get it at places that sell foam insulation. I bought a 4x8 sheet of this and the dark gray stuff at a supplier of industrial foam insulation. Got the name out of the phone book. Just look under insulation/foam/industrial.

I used to get foam at a place called "Bob's Foam Factory" in Fremont. If it's not in the Pacific Bell Yellow pages, you don't need it...

I ran into the same trouble, for the same use. I ended up buying a 3/4" x 4x8' sheet from a building supply store. I then used spray adhesive to laminate it into a block of the thickness I needed. It worked fine. Recently, I was told the thicker blue foam is available from boat building supply stores. Bob Hunt might also be able to hook you up with some.
