Anyone Know what this "Thumb it" is?

Older type speed handle?

Never seen this before.
Is the top one a 2-line version of a monoline handle ?
The one below it , I have NO idea....AS usual......

Can't get to ebay from my work computer but it sounds like one of those specializd monoline handles. Steve D is probably right on about it being an older type speed handle.

I have one of these handles at home. Really fits the hand well.

I will speak up for De Hill, If he hasn't got one already? De collects handles and might want the one you have.

I would love to have that handle if it is still available! It is a "Thumb It" made by the Stanzel co. in the late 1940's to attempt to get around the Jim Walker patent on use of the bellcrank for control. It was not a successful attempt!

Well, guessing about it being an old monoline system was pretty silly without being able to look at the picture. I think the Stanzel company did some work with monoline systems though.

The "Thum It" Handle came today in the mail; it is in perfect condition! I will treasure it. I collect handles and reels, so this is a great addition to my collection.

Did any company other than Stanzel produce monoline stuff? I thought they invented it. I remember seeing pictures of a few one-off handles by speed modelers in model mags back in the 50's.
