I like and use the bunch-of-holes-in-a-line adjustable leadout guide system, but finishing that area of the model has always been awkward at best when using film. To the point where I have actually applied LustreKote in this area of some models.
The trick is to cover the tips in normal fashion, wrapping MonoKote over from top to bottom of wing just to avoid laps in a highly visible area. In order to both gain access to all those holes and finish them decently I heated the end of a scratch awl and simply poked heated end into each hole in the tip.
The amount of heat is important, but remembering that a MonoKote heat gun will easily activate film adhesive yet not actually melt the film, simply turn on the gun, hold tip of scratch awl (or similar pointy-ended tool) over nozzle for a minute or so. This was enough heat to do a whole bunch of holes, heating it again allowed me to touch them all up, getting the film fully seated.
Running a knife down the slot connecting all those holes into a usable configuration and then ironing film in place with the flat tip of a "trim tool" iron made it all good.
