Dyed Silkspan / Tinted Dope ?

With the current topics about dyed silkspan, I was thinking about a past thread concerning tinted dope. I am thinking about going the tinted dope route on the Flying Clown I am now building. Will tinted dope give the same effect as dyed silkspan?

Yes, and it doesn't fade like the dyed tissue does.

Don:
I've done both,and each has it's own ad/dis-advantages.Dyed tissue requires great care in placing seams and overlaps as you get more intense color as layers build.Dyed clear can produce uneven color where film thickness varies.My personal choice is dyed tissue as you can use different color tissue trim.
