I went to Champione's place today and he previewed a couple of new airplanes....his golden Cavalier, an ARF that Kaz is making and the top and bottom views of his Saber.

I remember the first F86 Sabre that the Champ used to win the 69 Nats with. That was the first full fuselage stunt ship I ever saw outside of a magazine, and also the first time I ever saw a full AMA stunt pattern; "so thats what it looks like." I was also there for his Fox 59 powered follow-up that he used to place fourth at the Nats with. I remember Bob got into a duel with his 69 Nats Sabre against the GREAT Gene Schaeffer. It was one of the rare times when Gene came up second at a local meet. Bob's 1969 Nats, Fox 35 powered f86 was a real smoothy.

I have heard so much about the "gold" Cavalier that I can't wait to see it. Gold base with all candy colors for trim.
Don't know if he's "politically correct" on the Sabre though...... I know it isn't powered by a Fox 35! LOL!!

The gold Cavalier is a Morris "quick build" and the gold is Brodak...the colors on the plane are every one of the Brodak metalics.....very nice.
Bob reports that he feels that gold covers a lot better / faster than silver and that it reveals a lot more flaws.
The graphics are from Mike Rogers computer and cut by a local stencil guy.
Bobby plans to power it with a Saito .30, although he has a second cowl and has the mounts drilled for an L&J Fox. 35 if the Saito doesn't cut the mustard.
The Saber is built for a Big JIm ST .60.

Hey Gang,
It's a Big Jim ST 46 and the trim colors on the Gold Cavalier are every Candy Apple Color that John Brodak makes including the Pink and I also mixed a Candy Apple Orange that's also on there.
It certainsly is colorful to say the least.
Of course I think it looks great, Hey I built it.
