Yet another T/F Nobler question

I am getting ready to put the motor in my scratch built T/F Nobler ARF and have searched the database to no avail...
My question is: If I use 1/8" aluminum mounting pads for the engine, does the cowl still fit okay?

Roughly it looks as if a little "droop" could work?

I normally use pads under my engines but didn't with the ARF because I couldn't see how the cowl could fit with the engine lowered 1/8 inch. Didn't care for the idea of cutting out the mounts so didn't do anything and it's been fine.

You could use Phenolic circuit board. We usually use two layers, but one layer would only lower the engine 1/16 which may not be too noticeable.

I would try to carve the mounts and put the pads flush with the the thrust line.
