Is anyone familiar with Leo brand engines ,they are made in China I think.My son is in China and he can get me some but I dont know anything about them.They are r/c engines but I guess they could be converted,any info would be appreciated.

I've got a Leo 37 but haven't used it on anything yet. Looks to be well made. J & J Sales sells them and they provide a C/L venturi. Put the Leo 37 next to a Thunder Tiger 36 and the Leo looked like it had a shorter stroke.

Currently using a Leo 37 in my Noblarf. The engine was reworked by Byron Barker, and runs extremely well! Super 4/2/4, with friendly character on 11/5 props. Though the Noblarf is only 40 ounces, the Leo has pulled a 54 ounce stunter nicely through the pattern. Happy with the Leo!

Which 11-5 are you using?

Just curious, but what does Byron charge for the Leo 37 rework?

I thought they were Taiwanese, but they might've moved production to the mainland. I used some of their .28s a long, long time ago in Combat. Lasted a while and were faily fast after you did things to them. Didn't blow up like Brat .28s did. Indy RC used to sell them, still have a couple NIB from their clearance sale. They're supposedly the same as the "Royal" brand engines, though mine were "pre-Royal" (the Royal I have looks a little different, probably just styling changes, and it didn't run nearly as nice). MECOA was selling engines identical to the Royal some years back, though the owner said he hand-fitted them personally rather than getting them already assembled. In any case, I think they were a step below the current Magnums and Thunder Tigers in quality. The cranks, especially, looked a little rough.
