Rain-X Regioinals

The forecasts for the NW Regionals are predicting some damp weather, at least through Saturday. I understand that Rain-X is sometimes used to prevent control lines from sticking together in these conditions. Does it work? Are there any secrets for proper application?

Derek....I have added about a capfull of RainX to a pint of alcohol (91%) with positive results on braided lines.

I am predicting beautiful weather for the Regionals.
I am not a weatherman, of course, but I always predict good weather. I am always right too, because ...
One thing about this area in May -- the only thing you can count on is "changeable" weather. So even if it rains, it will be beautiful at some point during the weekend.

I don't remember having anything except 82 & light variable winds at the Regionals in the 13 I've attended

Our updated weather forecast now (Monday night) showing rain on Thursday, mostly cloudy on Friday, clouds and sun on Saturday.

I have used Rain-X on stranded lines because someone told me to. It certainly did no harm, although no tests were done to see how effective this treatment is.

I did once volunteer my bottle of Rain-X to Bruce Perry when rain threatened at a contest in British Columbia. He looked at me like I was crazy.

The theory sounds plausible, although if you read the directions on bottle, we are unlikely to go through entire process.

It hardly ever rains here in Southern California and when it does we all stay inside and watch television. . .
Sounds like there's not a lot of enthusiasm for the Rain-X treatment. Even so, I'll bring the bottle I bought for research purposes.
