Not that it matters, but on some threads, when I am the most recent poster, my name shows up as such, on the main page.
On others, it does not. But the posting makes it successfully in either case.

If you see this happen again, e.g. you are the most recent poster, but it does not show up on the main page as being the most recent poster, try a screen refresh or two. Usually just hitting your F5 key will do this. See if you are still not the most recent poster for the topic.
I suspect that your main page screen is being cached by your web browser. The you refresh, it reloads the page from the source. With that comes the updated info.
